Privacy Policy

VexuGames collects as little as a website can while still working. This page lists everything that is stored, where, and for how long.

Browsing without an account

You can browse, search and download without signing in. No profile is built, no advertising identifier is set and no analytics script follows you to another site. The only thing your browser keeps is a theme preference (light or dark), stored locally on your device and never sent to us.

If you create an account

An account exists only so you can comment on game pages. It consists of a username, a password (stored as a hash, never in the clear) and a recovery code hash. No e-mail address is asked for, so there is nothing to leak and nothing to mail you. A profile picture is optional and can be removed at any time from your account page.

Server logs

Like every web server, ours records the address a request came from, the page requested and the browser that asked for it. These logs exist to keep the site running and to stop abuse, they are rotated automatically and they are not combined with anything else.

Download counts

When you press a download button, a counter for that game goes up by one. The count is a number per game per day - it is not tied to your account, your address or anything that identifies you.

Third parties

Download links lead to external file hosts, each with its own privacy policy. Once you follow a link, what that host records is up to them. Advertising, where present, is served by third-party networks that may set their own cookies; the cookie policy explains how to block them.

Removing your data

Write to us through the contact page from the account in question and it will be deleted, comments included. Server logs expire on their own.

Changes to this policy

If anything on this page changes, the change is made here. There is no mailing list to announce it on, because there are no e-mail addresses to announce it to.
